Andrew Pugsley

Andrew Pugsley is an actor, singer, improviser and Associate Artistic Director of the Olivier Award winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical.

 He has been a member of the Showstopper company since 2010, and performs regularly with them on the West End and in their annual season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He’s also toured internationally with them, including to Mumbai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Norway, Canada, Belgium, Ireland and the USA.

 Andrew started improvising 20 years ago, his first shows as a student with Edinburgh University's resident troupe The Improverts. He then trained in musical theatre at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York; then waited around for half a decade before joining those two disciplines together.

Alongside Showstopper, Andrew tours internationally with improvised gothic horror show, The Society of Strange, and regularly takes part in the London 50 Hour Improvathon. He teaches acting and improvisation, and runs workshops on creativity and collaborative communication. Voiceover work includes an unabridged recording of 'The Prisoner of Zenda' for Naxos Audiobooks.
